Motivational quotes like "Love yourself if you have the ability to love" and "Keep nurturing yourself, you're growing" are often inspiring. However, their impact tends to fade quickly after we move on to the next one.

The Common Obsessions

Simply put, obsession means having or showing excessive or compulsive concern with something. It's very subjective and varies for each individual. So, the common things we always obsesses of a person, food item, success, if they're in the butterfly stage of love, their partner, and so on.

If you ask me will it harm ? I would say not immediately, but in the long run, losing something you are deeply obsessed will make you feel frustrated or can break your heart or make you feel like giving up on life.

The Common Therapy

As a user of social media—sorry, as social media uses us

These days, no matter our mood, our one and only weapon for all our problems is scrolling or swiping. It may make you feel good or motivated for a short time, but once you put your phone down, you still have to face reality.

The secret sauce

At this time many proclaim self love & care through status updates & bios but the true self esteem is more than a fleeting sentiment promoted by motivational content.

Actually, having self-esteem, self-love, and self-care is not just a fleeting thought or feeling triggered by a motivational video or quote. It is a continuous practice of spending time with ourselves every single day, even if just a little.

Again, it's not only about the time we give to ourselves. It's also a byproduct of what we eat, watch, and even think.

The simple logic

Most problems arise from interactions with others or expecting praise, pampering, or validation from them. We are used to hearing what others think about us and often forget to thank our own selves for making things happen and being there for ourselves throughout the journey.

Because in the end, depending on someone else to make you feel good means you're giving all your control to them. Eventually, they might get bored or we will start feeling ignored

If I say someone it doesn't mean excluding our own family!

It's simple buddy.

Just be there for you :)

If you've done something wrong, find your own space to discuss and accept it, and practice empathy. When you achieve something, remind yourself to stay humble. I believe that 99% of our problems can be solved through communication, especially if it's self-talk. This way, you won't need validation from anyone else.

Conclusion

I know my words might sound like a random social media quote, but trust me: if you find yourself, nothing will stop you. It will give you a broader perspective on everything in your life.
