There is an interesting story that in my life thread leads my way positively in every situation. Everyone used to hear inspirational stories or have seen inspiring people. In such a way, I am here to share the beautiful story of a person who is always inspiring in my life.
I know a woman, who has been working from the age of 17 and she is now 50 years old. I have seen her all shades: her anger, her smile, her pain, her worries, her care, her tiredness, and so on. She raised and studied herself, earned and paid fees for herself, get graduated from one of the greatest universities of the late 90's “Madras University”, oh my goodness she had completed UG and PG in Commerce.
Even you and I refuse or even feel shy to work on street corners or the busy market road. But, she a 17-year-old girl washed bakery vessels in the busy market of Chennai. She was raised with difficulty, her father and mother in the village trusted the guardian to raise their kid in the town with a better education, instead, they never let her study at home and used to make her work for their house and bakery. She had to rise early in the morning and with 3 empty vessels tied in a bicycle ride to 2.5 km away and get water. Without knowing that they are using up the kid for chores, the girl's father and mother offer the guardians everything from their land. But, she lived as a slave over there. She even needed to take off all other household chores, but their cousins in the house enjoyed their own lives.
She started to do her homework in the school itself and started to be aware and awake that there are not good enough to let her fly. She decided to leave their house and tried to continue living with her parents, unfortunately, her father passed away and her life became more unstable. Even at that time, she refused to go anywhere and did not seek anyone's help, she decided to go to work instead of college. The time and people started to work against her, even her relatives along with villagers said “You cannot able to take care of all these agricultural lands, you don't know anything, leave here and go with your mother to some other place and work”. Even her brother and sister didn't come forward to help them. She decided to stay in an old broken house and she refused to move from there, stood with her mom and said “I won't go anywhere, I will stand and rise with my land”. She continued to work hard, and at that time a person after seeing her great account skills, helped her to start to study for Under Graduate. She worked, she studied, she did agriculture, she fought against poverty, and raised.
“She” - a strong woman started to take care of her mother and build a new house in the same place in the same village, married for her safety and raised herself in front of her relatives. She with her knowledge and experience started to work on a CSR project. In the beginning, everyone laughed at her, even cursed and ill-treated her family and her daughters.
She is the queen now, the one and only woman with great rewards and long-term success working woman in her CSR project. Her pride, respect, and courage were raised along with her. The great woman “slapped everyone” through her actions and success. Everyone felt ashamed of themselves. It does not stop with, her flag flying high and high, her two daughters succeed in their lives with great achievements in their academics, one with a “gold medal in academics” and the other as an “auditor” in a leading company. Her pride and courage motivated her to work further, even now she is working with a smile and even after her promotion she remains simple and confident.
Isn't she our great inspiration? “I have shared a few things about her”, she is even in her 50's living far away from her family and working. She works for 6 days as a corporate employee and that 1 day she travels almost 9 hours to see her family, she in that 1 day takes care of her whole family, stitches clothes for her daughters, cooks and even organizes the house.
Why can't she deserve a salute? The woman I saw, the more you see: take them as fire and let their story burn inside you and through fresh thoughts to work and succeed.
“If they can, you can also” - Being creative and patient is highly important to live and lead a positive life at that time life throws roses on you.
